Title: Small Boat Drivers (2 full time and 1 part time positions open)

Responsibilities: Tow and place oil spill containment boom around ships and barges in Connecticut harbors. Land and water based repair and maintenance of oil spill containment boom is an essential part of the position. Will perform some boat, trailer and vehicle maintenance duties and miscellaneous tasks.

Qualifications: Boat drivers must be able to competently operate 17 – 25 ft. small boats. Must be very flexible in terms of hours of work as this is dictated by the arrival and departure of ships and barges, 24 hours, 7 days a week. Some industry experience and CT small boat operators license ideal. CT drivers license essential for use of company vehicles to tow boats. A proficient boat driver can make from $30k to $45k / yr. depending on his/her ability to do other marine related tasks.
